Throsby Park
3 Throsby Park Road, Moss Vale, NSW 2577

A rare example of a colonial-era rural estate, the property has played a vital role in Sydney’s early history. Granted to Dr Charles Throsby by Governor Macquarie in 1819, it was the earliest land grant in the Southern Highlands.

Throsby Park House (c1834) was home to six generations of the Throsby family. In 2015 it returned to the Throsby family and will be restored to its former glory as a private family residence and working farm.

The house will be open to the public twice a year by Sydney Living Museums.
